Studied theatre directing and dramaturgy at the Faculty of Drama and Puppetry of the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava where he lectures at the Directing and Dramaturgy Department and focuses on the methodology of playwrighting and dramaturgy. He published theoretical texts about the lectures (Damned Playwright, 2012, Useless Dramaturg, 2013).
In the years 2000 - 2010 he worked as a dramaturg for drama in the Slovak National Theatre. He regularly co-operates with a number of professional theatres in Slovakia and abroad and participates in international projects within the European Theatre Convention. He focuses on dramaturgy, he adapts literary texts and writes theatre plays. In 2001 he published a book of short stories named Hra na smiech (A Laugh Play) which was awarded prize money by the Slovak Literary Foundation. Many of his plays or adaptations have been produced by several Slovak theatres and received a series of awards (Tatra Bank Foundation for the play Red Princess, DOSKY Award for the best performance of the season 2011/2012 for adapting the novel of Ján Rozner Seven Days to Funeral).
