Horváthová Iveta
(*1960)
She is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in
Bratislava where she studied film and television dramaturgy and playwriting. From1985
she worked for the Na Rázcestí Puppet Theatre in Banská Bystrica of which
she became a director in 1992. She organizes the Bábkarská Bystrica International
Puppetry Festival and works as a dramaturg and playwright writing drama and
literary texts for children and adults (Nebojsaňa, 2005) and radio plays (Izabeliárna
tx., Samsonka). In 2007 with actresses a students of acting in Banská Bystrica she founded the Na Rázcestí Puppet Theatre and T.W.I.G.A (Theatre – Women – Improvisation – Gender - Action) which presents authorial projects with gender-sensitive themes, and which examines the possibilities of gender-sensitive theatrical language. Her book Theatre Pl-A-B-C (creative writing with children or how to play with boredom) was published by the Theatre Institute Bratislava in 2013.
